Normandie, and then especially the department of the ORNE and the Pays d’Auge have for ever been “horse-country”. The finest breeds, the haras national du Pin (the armies chief horse horse and stud farm), all coming from a well adapted countryside, very adequate for stud farms and horse breeding.

Anne and Scott Mayden both grew up with horses but on different sides of the Atlantic. Scott was raised in the mid-west and his experience with horses includes bareback rides across the Nebraska prairie and corn fields. Anne is French and discovered ponies as a little girl. She competed in dressage and jumping as a youngster and has had horses or ponies since she was a child. Together Anne and Scott have more than 60 years of horse experience. Anne discovered Morgans while on a student exchange program in Minnesota. She knew then that she had found the perfect breed. Anne looked for her first Morgan in Europe for several years and finally imported her first mare from Michigan. The mare was delivered to her farm on the day she met Scott. He was a keeper and so was the Morgan breed. We know from experience that it is difficult for parents in Europe to find a horse for their family that is pretty, safe, fun, healthy and athletic. We aim to breed that horse. Our horses are ready to become a child’s best friend, a teenager’s competition teammate, a father’s driving horse, a mother’s trail ride or possibly all of the above. We believe that, regardless of your chosen equestrian pursuit, spending time with your horse should always be a pleasure and bring up our young horses to be fun companions. We breed Morgans and part-Morgans that are equally well suited for the amateur and the serious competitor. We generally have stock for sale. We are active in the promotion of the Morgan breed in Europe and are hoping to see more Morgan enthusiasts in Europe in years to come.
